Franc Harriss Fine Catering and Special Event Consulting was established in the Italian neighborhood of
North Beach in San Francisco in 1996.

We began as a small company specializing in private dinner parties and small corporate events.  As customer requests increased, we grew into a full service food and beverage catering and special event planning company. 
Our catering events consist of intimate dinner parties as well as guest lists of several thousands.

Our clients and their events vary a great deal and some have included store openings, ground breakings, simple back yard weddings, a formal estate wedding which was pictured in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine in 2000, and the United Nations 60th Anniversary for 1500 world and religious leaders in 2006.

Franc graduated with honors in wine studies from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He trained at 1 star Michelin Guide restaurants, in Burgundy, France; Hostellerie de Vieux Moulin and Chez Chamille. And continues to cook at restaurants during annual visits to Italy.

Franc Harriss is the only American chef invited to be the interim chef of the French Consulate in Beverly Hills.
